Meet Dr. Brown

Early Years and Education

Dr. Rodger Brown is a board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon located in the West Houston/Katy area. He was born and raised in the Houston area. He attended college at Baylor University where he earned his B.S. degree in biology and graduated cum laude. He then moved back to Houston and went to medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in the Texas Medical Center. He obtained his M.D. with honors. During his medical school training, he fell in love with plastic surgery, a specialty requiring creative problem solving and technical skill which can make a direct and immediate impact on patients’ lives.

Dr. Brown successfully matched into one of the top plastic surgery training programs, the Baylor College of Medicine integrated plastic surgery residency. He spent the next six years training to become a highly skilled plastic surgeon across all disciplines. During this time, he worked with many national leaders in the field at several well-known institutions, including: The Methodist Hospital, St. Luke’s Hospital, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Texas Children’s Hospital, and Ben Taub General Hospital.

Experience & Board Certification

After successful completion of his residency training, Dr. Brown joined the faculty at Baylor College of Medicine as Assistant Professor where he practiced and taught plastic surgery for four years. During this time, he gained further experience in cosmetic surgery and complex reconstructive surgery. He successfully completed the written and oral board examinations and obtained his board certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery. In 2014, he was awarded the Outstanding Teaching Faculty award by the residents.

Comprehensive & Compassionate Care

In July 2016, Dr. Brown moved his practice to the West Houston/Katy area where he is now a partner at the Houston Methodist Institute for Reconstructive Surgery. His rigorous training and experience have given him the tools to provide comprehensive reconstructive and cosmetic surgery services. He has a special interest in facial reconstruction after trauma and skin cancer, breast reconstruction, and cosmetic surgery. Dr. Brown strives to provide each patient with a personalized experience and optimal results through technical excellence and compassionate care. When not taking care of his patients, Dr. Brown enjoys spending quality time with his wife and children, traveling, playing golf, and scuba diving.

Isabel Nolte

Board-Certified Physician Assistant

Isabel Nolte is a board-certified Physician Assistant who is deeply committed to providing patient-centered care alongside Dr. Brown. Isabel provides exemplary patient care in the clinic and hospital settings. She also assists Dr. Brown in the majority of his surgical cases, both in the operating room and at our in-office procedure room.
Isabel is a native Texan and grew up in the greater Houston area. She pursued her undergraduate studies at Texas A&M and then went on to earn her Masters of Physicisian Assistant Studies from UT Medical Branch at Galveston. She strives to provide a compassionate, informative, and seamless surgical experience for her patients, guiding and supporting them through each step of their surgical journey.

Morgan Wylie

Senior Patient Affairs Coordinator

With over 13 years of experience in healthcare, Morgan Wylie has spent the last 7 years contributing her expertise as a Medical Assistant/Clinic Coordinator alongside Dr. Brown. In her role, Morgan provides essential support to Dr. Brown in the clinic and efficiently handles the coordination of surgeries. As a reliable resource, Morgan is adept at scheduling appointments and is eager to assist with any questions or concerns you might have about your healthcare needs.
